Arlington County Collaborates with Ceres to Boost Business ResilienceArlington, VA – The Arlington County Board voted to approve a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Arlington County and Ceres, formalizing a strategic partnership for the development and implementation of the Arlington Corporate Climate Leaders (ACCL) program to be launched later this year. Why the ACCL MattersThe climate crisis requires immediate and collective action from all sectors of society. Businesses today increasingly recognize that climate change presents not only significant risks but also substantial opportunities to enhance their competitive edge and profitability by leveraging climate solutions The ACCL program is designed to unite businesses of all sizes across Arlington in a shared commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and building long-term climate resilience. By partnering with Ceres, the ACCL will benefit from the organizations’ decades of experience in business engagement, policy advocacy, and climate education. As an ACCL partner, they will collaborate with the County to deliver tailored briefings, workshops, and impactful events, as well as facilitate peer-to-peer discussions on energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
