The Adventurist newsletter

BY TYNIN FRIES, TFRIES@DENVERPOST.COM

Hi, friends

I've got back-to-back camping trips the next few weekends. Car camping with friends and then again with family. We like to add a bit of anxiety before the outdoors bliss by trying to find first-come, first-served campsites. Are you an FCFS camper or do you plan months in advance to get a reservation?

I am writing about my camping meal plans, recipes and tips for our Stuffed newsletter that comes out tomorrow. If you like food, cooking or restaurant news, sign up for Stuffed here.

Heads up

We've got a beautiful summer weekend ahead with temperatures in the 90s. Forecasters predict sunny skies with some clouds and a chance for afternoon thunderstorms each day. Always check the forecast and be prepared for rain before you hit the trail.

Sink a line in Salida to catch something unexpected
