This week brings the return of the Tampa Bay Comic Convention, which for nearly two decades now has pumped the Tampa Convention Center full of pop culture delights.
My kids are big-time nerds when it comes to sci-fi and video games, and I'm not too far off. So I highly recommend spending a day immersed in this world. Get a ticket in advance so you don't have to wait in a huge line in the summer heat, and check the convention's online schedule so you don't miss something you like. The cosplay is marvelous and the crowd is full of very funny nerds who understand each other.
