Amazon Web Services has announced plans to invest A$20 billion over 2025 to 2029 to expand its digital infrastructure footprint in Australia. This is in addition to a A$9 billion investment in data centres from 2012 to 2023. AWS will also invest in three new solar farms across Victoria and Queensland to power its new and expanded data centres.
The game-changing boost ensures Australia will maintain one of the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure models, supporting organisations to deploy new AI technologies.
