Reminder: The CY 2026 HH PPS Notice of Proposed Rulemaking includes a request for information regarding adding a respecified Falls with Major Injury measure to the expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model’s applicable measure set.

May 2025 Cross-Setting Falls with Major Injury TEP Summary Report.pdf contains an overview of the technical expert panel’s discussion and feedback on proposed updates to the measure, including various approaches under consideration to incorporate claims-based data into the measure, refinements to the International Classification of Diseases Version 10 (ICD-10) code lists used to identify major injuries in claims, measure reliability assessments, and relevant technical specification updates.
