For the first time in a decade, Vladimir Putin will be on US soil for a much-anticipated meeting with Donald Trump. The US president believes he can convince Putin to make a deal to put an end to Moscow’s war against Ukraine, but he did not specify on what conditions the deal could be made.
The US president said that a possible deal to end Russia’s war against Ukraine would include certain “land swapping”. But for the Ukrainian society, this is an impossible step, seen not as a compromise but rather a capitulation, neither Trump nor even Zelenskyy can force them into.
The perpetrator has yet to be apprehended and it's unclear if they were targeting the mosque or specific individuals.
