In the wake of Donald Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to meet with Trump in Washington.

Zelenskyy announced the visit after a "long and meaningful conversation" with Trump by phone. The leader also said he supports a future "trilateral meeting" between Ukraine, the U.S. and Russia.
