The Canadian government ordered binding arbitration to resolve the Air Canada strike, in which more than 10,000 flight attendants walked off the job over pay and scheduling.

The airline suspended all operations Saturday, prompting the government to step in. The order extends the existing contract until a new agreement is reached.
