Just one, baby

After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2006, Glenbard West took a big step toward the postseason with a 31-28 win over Batavia last week, Kevin Schmit writes.

Looking for an exciting game to watch on Week 1 next season? You might want to check out St. Charles North. The North Stars played in a third straight nail-biter to the start the season.

Maine South got off to a rough start against Lincoln-Way East, but the Hawks should be just fine by the postseason.
