But first: a podcast that explains what your gut’s been trying to tell you

here's the plan

You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…

  1. 1.

Still stumped on what to get for your very particular mother-in-law? Or your quirky Aunt Sue? Good news: This brilliantly simple gifting trick works every time.

  2. 2.

There’s exactly one reason to stay up past our 10 pm bedtime — and it’s Ariana Grande and Cher, together, on SNL. Tomorrow, Grande will return to 30 Rock for her third time as host, while Cher will be the musical guest for the first time in almost 40 years (watch her 1987 performance here). Will the Queen of a Million Impressions do one of Cher? Will there be a duet of “Drop Top Sleigh Ride”? TBD, but we’re choosing to believe there will.

  3. 3.

We’re well aware 2025 isn’t over yet, but one of 2026’s biggest fashion trends is already worth knowing about since (a) it’s hiding in your childhood craft closet, and (b) it’s surprisingly festive. Our inner third graders are screaming.

The gut-brain connection is wild, and this special podcast episode finally explains it in a way that makes sense. Add to your queue immediately.*

  5. 5.

Au revoir, Paris. Season 5 of Emily in Paris — or should we say, Emily in Rome — is now streaming on Netflix, in which our questionably dressed heroine is adjusting to a new city, a new office, a new boyfriend, and a new haircut. Despite all the changes, expect the same scathing one-liners from Sylvie, more outrageous hats from Mindy, and at least a few moments of miscommunication with Gabriel — who, at the end of season 4, was en route to Rome to confess his love to Emily. Mamma mia.

My Non-Negotiables: Brittany Doohan

Happy (almost) weekend. Yes, I should pack for my three-week California trip. But I’ve decided that’s Monday’s problem. So instead, I plan to squeeze every last drop out of my final NYC weekend before 2026. Here’s what that includes:
