The Commander's Corner
Greetings and Happy New Year!
We want to take a moment to reflect on the dedication, professionalism, and service demonstrated daily by the men and women of the McLean District Station. The first quarter of 2026 brings with it both new opportunities and familiar challenges, and we are proud of the continued commitment our officers, civilian staff, and community partners show in keeping McLean a safe place to live, work, and visit.
The winter months often demand adaptability—whether responding to seasonal hazards, increased calls for service, or evolving public safety needs. Throughout this quarter, our personnel have met those demands with professionalism, resilience, and community engagement. Their efforts exemplify the core values of this department and reinforce the trust we work hard to build with those we serve.
As we move forward into the remainder of 2026, our focus remains on accountability, training, wellness, and partnership. By continuing to work together—within the department and alongside our community—we will remain prepared to meet challenges and uphold the high standards expected of us.
Thank you for your continued support.
Respectfully,
Major Culkin & Captain Bailey

Meeting: Community Advisory Committee
What is a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting?
A Community Advisory Committee meeting is a forum where residents, community leaders, and police representatives come together to share information, discuss local concerns, and collaborate on solutions that promote safety and trust. These meetings provide an opportunity for open dialogue, feedback, and partnership between our police department and the community we serve.
Community member support is essential because effective policing depends on mutual trust and cooperation. When residents participate and share their perspectives, it helps our police department better understand community needs, improve decision-making, and work collaboratively to create safer neighborhoods for everyone.
Whether you're a long-time resident, local business owner, advocate or just interested in making a difference in your community, your insight and feedback are important! Please spread the word to your family, friends and neighbors.
We hope you can join us!
