Message from the President
Hello Fairfax High School Families, Teachers, and Staff,
I hope everyone had a good long weekend honoring Martin Luther King Jr. Our next meeting is tonight at 7 pm in the library. We will go over our funds for the year and catch up on upcoming events/fundraisers. Also, as a reminder, the new City of Fairfax School Board Superintendent, Dr. Dustin Wright, will be at our meeting tonight to introduce himself and take questions. We are looking forward to his visit.
DONATIONS NEEDED!!!: The Hospitality Team will be providing breakfast/brunch for the 60 judges, teachers, and volunteers of the upcoming Science Fair this Saturday, January 24. They are asking for volunteers and donations for the event. Our hospitality are very low so please, please, please help. Please see the Sign-up Genius to see how you can contribute for this event. The next ANG planning meeting will be tonight after the PTSA 8pm in the library. We need to start planning the event to see what activities we would like to hold. That will give us a better idea what the ticket prices will be. The more funds we raise throughout the year the cheaper the tickets will be for ANG. As mentioned the senior magnets are available. You can also pre-order the Senior Yard Signs. You can now order them both on Givebacks, see links below. For the magnets, we will reach out to arrange delivery. The yard signs will be delivered later in the school year. Donations are always welcome!!
JOIN the PTSA NOW to support our FHS teachers, students, and community! Your member dues and donations work to fund all of our activities and programs, help keep you engaged and informed about what is happening in our school community and provide opportunities to get involved if your time permits. There are still a lot of things planned for the year. Unfortunately, without your support we will not be able to support the FHS Community as much as we would like to. We are brainstorming for more ways to fundraise throughout the year but membership and donations are a big part of how we get to where we need to be. If you’ve been meaning to join and/or donate and haven’t, please do! If you are worried joining will commit you to something, it won’t. If you think “others will do it, I don’t have to”, then nobody will. Please JOIN the PTSA today!!!
