Dear Terraset Families,

Last week, I learned that the school board has approved a solar initiative for all FCPS schools. Currently, FCPS facilities and an outside contractor are evaluating our building, along with others, to determine if it is a suitable candidate for solar panel installation, an important step toward enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. We have shared with them about the various uses of our rooftop so that these will be considered at the division level. As we learn more, we will share more information and opportunities for engagement and feedback.

Brrrrr! Colder temperatures are here! Please be sure your student(s) are dressed for the weather, as we will have outdoor recess unless temperatures are below freezing. If you are in need of a winter coat for your child, please reach out to our wonderful family liaison, Marina Chavez, at imchavezotoy@fcps.edu or 703-390-5614 or as always, you can reach out to your child’s teacher. 

Additionally, please be sure to keep a close eye on the news and www.fcps.edu when snow is in the forecast for any school closures or delays.
