Get Signed Up for Fee Reductions!

Learn if you qualify for the Arlington Department of Parks and Recreation's (DPR) fee reduction program and join us to get signed up on the spot at Arlington Mill Community Center during two fee reduction events:

  • Thu., Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Thu., Jan. 29 from 12-2 p.m.

Need a date night or just a few hours of peace? Drop the kids off for Parent’s Night Out, this Fri., Jan. 23, from 6-10 p.m. While you relax, they will have a blast with an entire evening of games and supervised fun. $40 per child (ages 5-10). Walter Reed Community Center. Register here.

Looking for something fun to do with friends? Head to Teen Takeover on Sat., Jan. 24, from 7-10 p.m. at Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center.This teen-led event features swimming, games, and plenty of fun. Best of all, it’s free and open to all middle and high school teens. Learn more & sign up!

Embrace the warmth of creativity this winter at our cozy winter craft night—a relaxing evening just for adults at the Long Branch Nature Center. It may still be winter, but we’re already gearing up for an amazing summer and it’s the perfect time to start planning. Take a moment to browse our website so you’re ready when registration opens. Here’s how the 2026 schedule rolls out:

Pond Life: Winter Edition

Ponds may freeze around this time of year, but they're still full of life. Come learn about our winter pond dwellers, and find out where the critters you don't see in winter have gone. Tue., Jan. 27 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Long Branch Nature Center. Free. Be sure to dress for the weather. Learn more and register.

Kick off the Year with the Pilates Reformer!

Slots are open to start the year strong with guided sessions on a Pilates Reformer at Thomas Jefferson Community & Fitness Center! It offers a dynamic, full-body workout that blends strength, flexibility, and mindful movement. Using the Reformer’s spring-based resistance system, participants engage in controlled exercises that challenge core stability, improve posture, and enhance muscular endurance. Get ready for the return of Battle of the DJs on Feb. 27, where teen DJs will have a chance to showcase their skills at the Teen Takeover event at Amazon HQ2. Register today to let us know you're coming!

Open Bounce

Get your bounce on! Children ages 3-9 can bounce freely indoors with three bounce houses at Lubber Run Community Center and Madison Community Center this winter! The first Saturday of each month will be hosted at Lubber Run and the rest of the dates are at Madison. Make sure to double check the location when registering. Cost is $6 per child. Adults (age 18+) must remain on site. Learn more and sign up here.

Access for All!
Parks & Recreation classes, camps, fitness memberships, preschools, programs and more are at a price you can afford! Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Whether you have a short-term set back or something longer term, we're here to help.

 

Additionally, all Parks & Recreation programs, classes and camps can put modifications in place to promote an enjoyable and successful program experience for participants of all abilities. Advance notice is welcome. Call 703-228-4740 or email trinfo@arlingtonva.us.

 

Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center on select Saturdays to get help with registration, create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more. The DPR Administrative Services Office at Lubber Run Community Center also has extended after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 –7 p.m. for in-person assistance.
