Edward Anthony Kowalczyk, 92, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. He was born in Chicago to Edward and Sophie Kowalczyk. A U.S. Army veteran, he later earned a bachelor's degree in business from DePaul University. He married Delores Berger, and together they lived in Arlington Heights for more than 60 years. He worked as a Yellow Pages sales representative for R.H. Donnelley and volunteered as a reader for the blind. A founding member and lector at St. Edna Catholic Church, he also enjoyed creating art, including woodworking and painting, and was a familiar face at Trader Joe's. He valued spirited conversation and open exchange and believed they were cornerstones of a good life. He is survived by his children and preceded in death by his wife, sister, mother, and father. flowers, memorials to Blind Service Chicago are appreciated.
