Program Assistant/Coordinator (Temporary Position)

The Congressional Research Service (CRS), Library of Congress, provides nonpartisan policy and legal analysis exclusively for the United States Congress. CRS serves committees and Members of both the House and Senate, supporting their work regardless of party affiliation.

New Member Seminar:
Every two years, CRS, in coordination with the House of Representatives, sponsors a four-day seminar for newly-elected Members and their families. The seminar focuses on key issues and legislative procedures that new Members need to understand during their first year in office.

Position Overview – Program Assistant/Coordinator:
We are seeking a Program Assistant/Coordinator to support all aspects of this four-day seminar. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and an effective communicator. This role requires a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering a high-quality experience for all participants.

This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The incumbent will utilize core event planning skills and collaborate with a professional team on a high-impact program.
