Congratulations to Erik Agard, winner of the 48th American Crossword Puzzle Tournament. Contestants are scored on their speed and solving ability. Out of over 800 entrants, 123 were able to “solve clean,” that is, with no mistakes. An impressive feat! I solved a few of the puzzles remotely after the tournament and got absolutely crushed, but I still enjoyed myself.
