Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: May 2026
On April 21, the U.S. Census Bureau will release a feature on Asian Americas and Pacific Islanders. This month-long observance of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders started more than 25 years ago. We celebrate their growing contributions to our nation with a host of demographic and economic statistical information about the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage.
On April 23, the U.S Census Bureau will release Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS). The survey measures business conditions on an ongoing basis. BTOS experimental data products are representative of all employer businesses other than farms in the U.S. economy. New questions on artificial intelligence (AI) were added November 17 and new AI supplemental content will be released April 23.
Household Trends and Outlook Pulse Survey
On April 23, the U.S. Census Bureau will release the Household Trends and Outlook Pulse Survey (HTOPS), which collects data on food and nutrition, health and well-being, transportation, employment, education and other topics. The purpose of the survey is to collect information that can be used to improve and inform future surveys. These data –collected from a sample of about 30,000 households in June 2025 – cover the nation and smaller geographic areas defined by the Census Bureau.
