Oh wow, I finally looked through those vacation photos you sent last week. The one of you trying to parallel park that tiny rental car near the market is absolutely frame-worthy. I can't believe how small the streets were! Anyway, I wanted to ask if you ever found the portable speaker you thought you left in the hotel lobby. It reminded me of the time I spent three hours at the airport lost luggage office in Madrid. The agent was incredibly patient even though I kept mixing up my bags with a stranger's who had a nearly identical green duffel. Safe travels whenever you head out again. Let me know if you need any recommendations for places to eat in that area next time. I have a whole list saved from our last trip. Also, I finally started that book you recommended. It is a bit slow to start but I am only about fifty pages in so far.

I tried my hand at repotting the monstera this weekend and it was a mess, but I think it will survive. The roots were so tangled I felt like I was performing surgery. Also, there is this absurdly bold squirrel that has discovered my tomato plants. He sits on the fence and stares directly at me through the kitchen window while munching on a stolen cherry tomato. It feels oddly confrontational. Let me know if you end up trying the organic soil mix from the nursery on Oak street. I am curious if it actually helps with drainage or if it is mostly just marketing hype. My hydrangeas could really use the boost. Oh, and I finally fixed the latch on the garden gate, so maybe the raccoons will stay out this time. Fingers crossed because they destroyed my bird feeder last week.
