Israeli strike in Gaza City kills new Hamas military wing commander

The death of Mohammed Odeh comes less than two weeks after his predecessor was killed in a similar attack. Hamas is yet to issue an official statement, but a source and relatives said Odeh, his wife and adult son were all killed. At least three Palestinians were killed and dozens more were injured in the Israeli strike on a residential building, local medics and witnesses reported. Israel is continuing to carry out regular strikes across Gaza since a ceasefire was agreed in October, with Hamas repeatedly accusing it of breaching the terms of the truce. The Hamas-run health ministry has reported the killing of more than 900 people since the agreement. Israel maintains it has the licence to target Hamas members and accuses it of violating the ceasefire by not disarming.
