A violent end to Fourth of July celebrations in Boston. At least 13 people were shot after multiple shootings over the weekend. Two people died, and one is dealing with life-threatening injuries. Multiple investigations are now underway and police are still searching for those responsible. “There were many, many parties last night, and that kind of volume we’re probably not used to,” Police Commissioner Michael Cox said Sunday. “We’re asking the public, it’s a long summer, we’re at the beginning, the peak of summer. | Ground stop lifted at Boston Logan Airport after fueling system issue |
There was a ground stop at Boston Logan International Airport on Sunday night due to an issue with the fueling system, according to the Massachusetts Port Authority. The issue with the system that delivers jet fuel to planes caused some delays and cancellations before it was announced the airport was in a full ground stop until further notice. Logan’s jet fuel is distributed through a massive airport-wide system operated by BOSFUEL — a consortium of airlines that manages fuel operations at the airport. Officials haven’t said exactly what caused the problem, or how it could be fixed, but the impact was immediately felt across the airport, with flights unable to depart as crews worked to address the issue. |
