DSEAR: Controlling dust explosion risks

Understanding DSEAR protects workers, contractors and occupants against explosions from flammable dusts.
Delegates will gain practical knowledge in identifying dust hazards, how to access and reduce risk, commission DSEAR assessments and detect different zoned areas.

DSEAR: Hazardous area classification for gases and liquids
9 September, 3 November or 15 December
This course is aimed at those with existing knowledge of DSEAR, who want to advance their understanding on the classification of hazardous substances.
Delegates will gain knowledge to carry out straightforward hazardous area classification in accordance with commonly used standards or to act as an intelligent customer when contracting others to deliver this role.

DSEAR: Gases and liquids
10 September or 4 November
13 October (live online)
DSEAR places duties on employers and the self-employed to protect employees, contractors and others from the risks of fires and explosions related to dangerous substances stored and used in the workplace.
During this entry level course, delegates will know their legal duties, act as an intelligent customer when commissioning DSEAR assessments, understand key concepts related to hazardous area classification and identify potential ignition sources and select appropriate ATEX rated equipment.
