The CORE Outbreak Investigation Table is a list of outbreak and adverse event investigations primarily being managed by FDA’s CORE Response Teams. The investigations are in a variety of stages, meaning that some outbreaks have limited information, and others may be near completion. The table will be updated weekly.
This week's updates are:
A new outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1392) linked to a not yet identified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback.
A new outbreak of Salmonella Javiana (ref #1395) linked to a not yet identified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback.
A new outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1379) linked to a not yet identified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback and an inspection.
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1390) linked to iceberg lettuce, FDA updated the outbreak advisory with investigational updates and information about Taylor Farms de Mexico recalling iceberg lettuce.
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1385), the case count has increased from 8 to 10 cases.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1387) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 69 to 81 cases.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 91 to 96 cases. FDA has initiated an inspection and sampling.
For the outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1381) linked to a not yet identified food, the outbreak is over. FDA’s investigation is still ongoing.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium (ref #1377) linked to moringa leaf powder, the outbreak has ended and FDA’s outbreak investigation has closed. FDA updated the outbreak advisory on July 17, 2026, with final investigational updates.
For the outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium, Newport, and Richmond (ref #1358) linked to moringa leaf powder, the outbreak has ended. FDA updated the outbreak advisory on July 22, 2026, with final investigational updates.
