Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Hospice Wage Index and Payment Rate Update and Hospice Quality Reporting Program Requirements Proposed Final Rule (CMS-1851-F)

On July 30, 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a final rule (CMS-1851-F) that provides updates to the fiscal year (FY) 2027 Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP). This rule adds an icon to the Medicare.gov Compare Tool as part of the HQRP. This rule also provides updates on the HOPE instrument and public reporting and future quality measures (QMs).
