NYCHA Waste Management Superintendent Charged with Time Theft After Allegedly Going Home When She Should Have Been Working at a NYCHA Facility
Nadia I. Shihata, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Investigation (“DOI”) announced the arrest on Saturday, August 1, 2026, of a Waste Management Superintendent for the New York City Housing Authority (“NYCHA”) on charges of allegedly stealing time from the City valued at a total of $4,380 between April and July 2026. DOI received an anonymous complaint, which prompted this investigation. The Office of Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez is prosecuting the case.
MYOSHA S. WATSON, 45, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested on Saturday, August 1, 2026, after clocking in to Glenwood Houses in Brooklyn, and charged on Sunday, August 2, 2026, with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Upon conviction, a class D felony is punishable by up to seven years in jail; a class E felony is punishable by up to four years in jail; and a class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year’s incarceration.
