There was a time when many considered Talenti a darling of the ice-cream aisle — sophisticated gelato with high-quality ingredients and a soft, dense texture. But after a panel of our kitchen experts taste-tested nine of the brand’s current offerings, the results were revealing. The Mediterranean Mint? Toothpaste-y. The Madagascan Vanilla Bean? Questionably frothy and gray. “I have never in my life thrown away ice cream,” says deputy editor and former Talenti evangelist Annemarie Conte. “It’s criminal behavior. And yet.”

Recently, security researchers found that some kids smartwatches are vulnerable to hacking. They demonstrated how easily attackers could hijack certain watches by taking over their microphones and cameras without the user’s — or their parent’s — knowledge.
