What a beautiful start to the school year! There is nothing quite like gathering to celebrate our seniors at Senior Sunrise. The weather was perfect, the sunrise was stunning, and the Class of 2027 got the school year started off right. Seeing so many hand-stitched senior shirts and hand-painted senior pants was wonderful—you can already tell this is going to be a very special class.

Late last week, we received official confirmation for our graduation date. I am pleased to announce that we will be graduating the Class of 2027 on Wednesday, June 9th at 9:00 a.m. at EagleBank Arena. Please mark your calendars and start making plans for this milestone celebration!

Thank you to all the families who joined us last week for both our Freshman/New Student Orientation and Cav Kickoff. We had a huge turnout for both events, and it was wonderful having students back in the building, energized for the new year. A special thank you to Josh Peters, Megan Labuhn, Jamie Bradfield, and Elizabeth Walter for all of their hard work organizing these traditional events. Also, thank you to our Admin team for their dedication in making Cav Kickoff a success.

We also want to thank our PTSO and Athletic Boosters for joining us, as well as everyone who has already signed up to support our PTSO. If you would like to join, please click here to sign up for the PTSO. They are incredible supporters of our school, students, and staff. Another huge thank you to the PTSO for providing a delicious breakfast for our staff last week—it was deeply appreciated and fueled our prep for the first day!

Athletics This Week: We have a busy slate of away games this week, with Boys Volleyball playing at home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. We hope to see you in the stands at home or traveling to support our teams on the road! Check out the full schedule at woodsonsports.com.

It has been a fantastic first day, setting the tone for what is going to be a great school year!
