a secretly amazing product we’ve tried that should be popular but isn’t (yet)

The brand: Color Wow

What you’ve seen: Dream Coat Supernatural Spray

What you need to try: Insta-Wow Advanced Dry Shampoo

Why I’m obsessed:

  • No white cast: I have dark brown hair, so I typically have to spend a few minutes blending in my dry shampoo … which practically ruins whatever style I had planned for the day. This formula goes on completely colorless, so I never have to worry about missing a spot after blending. I just give my hair a quick fluff and brush, and I’m good to go.

  • Lightweight formula: My hair is on the thinner side, so I like products that won’t feel like they’re weighing my head down. This formula is so light, I practically can’t feel any product in my hair. Plus, it doesn’t clump up or feel grainy, which is a must-have for me in a dry shampoo.

  • Long-lasting results: Even on the sweatiest, most humid days in New York City, I reach for this dry shampoo because I know that it will keep my hair looking fresh. If I put this product on in the morning, I don’t have to worry about it wearing off by the time I get home from the office. Plus, I can wear this 2-3 days in a row, and my hair still looks like I just washed it.

Something to note: After using it about 3 days a week,  it only took me a month to use an entire can — depending on how often you use dry shampoo, you might need to repurchase pretty often.
