Roseburg VA Encourages Enrolled Veterans to Get Vaccinated This Flu Season
No appointment needed at multiple Roseburg VA healthcare facility flu clinics
Roseburg, OR (September 15, 2026) — Now is the time for Veterans to get their flu shot and protect themselves, their families, and their communities. As the flu season approaches, vaccination is the most effective way to prevent illness and keep the Roseburg VA community strong. We are committed to making vaccines accessible, free, and convenient for all enrolled Veterans, with multiple flu clinics across our facilities and no appointment necessary.
Help us spread this vital message! Getting vaccinated saves lives and helps keep our Veterans healthy for those who depend on them. Join us in safeguarding our community this flu season. Roll up your sleeve and get vaccinated!
Who Is Eligible — All Veterans enrolled in VA Health Care are eligible to receive a vaccine at Roseburg VA Health Care System.
When and Where to Get Vaccinated — Enrolled Veterans may receive vaccines during scheduled VA Primary Care visits after September 15, 2026, or at one of the following no-appointment-necessary flu clinics:

Wednesdays, September 23 & 30 and October 7: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Eugene VA Health Care Center WALK-Up Flu Clinic

Saturday, September 19: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Saturdays, September 26 and October 24: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 22 through November 10: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

What flu vaccines will be available this year?

Fluzone: for those up to 65 years old

Fluad: for those 65 and older
Vaccine Access Through the Community Care Network
Veterans can also get a free influenza or COVID-19 vaccine at an in-network Community Care Network (CCN) location, such as a participating urgent care provider or retail pharmacy. There is no cost or copay for visits solely for these vaccines.
Before visiting a community location, Veterans should:

Call ahead to confirm the provider offers no-cost flu and COVID-19 vaccines to Veterans.

Ask about the specific vaccine type available, as some flu vaccines are formulated for individuals aged 65 and older.

Bring printed or digital billing information, available at va.gov/files/2023-09/OCC-Billing-Information-Card.pdf.
Upon arrival, Veterans should inform the provider they are enrolled in VA Health Care and want the influenza or COVID-19 vaccine paid for by VA. They must present a government-issued ID and the billing information card.
For assistance with in-network community flu or COVID-19 vaccines, Veterans may call 877-881-7618.
