Know your vaccine options for flu, COVID-19, and RSV.

How vaccines help: Vaccines can protect you from getting sick with influenza (flu), COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) this season. If you get infected with any of these viruses, vaccines can help reduce symptoms and may keep you out of the hospital.

Who’s at high risk for a severe case of flu or COVID-19? Certain people are at greater risk for a severe case of flu or COVID-19. This includes people aged 65 or older, those with certain medical conditions, and people with weakened immune systems.

Who’s at high risk for a severe case of RSV? Those at greater risk for severe cases of RSV include people aged 75 or older, as well as those 50 to 74 with certain medical conditions or who are living in a nursing home.

What if I’m pregnant? Getting flu and other recommended vaccines during pregnancy may protect you from getting very sick and can also pass protection to your baby. Your health care provider may also recommend an RSV vaccine to protect your baby.

Your VA health care provider can answer your questions about vaccinations that are recommended for you. Visit any of the VA Caribbean Healthcare System locations and get vaccinated today! Walk-ins are always welcome.
