We continue to have all eyes on the nor'easter that is expected to impact Massachusetts starting tomorrow. Coastal communities have been preparing, and the Red Sox also made changes to their regular season series finale at Fenway Park. Other news we're following includes a fatal crash in Easton, as well as an update to an NBC10 Boston Responds story from earlier this year. Plus, "Frugal Fannie's" is closing! We’re keeping a close eye on a developing nor’easter that will likely impact parts of the Greater Boston area this weekend with rain, gusty winds, and coastal flooding.

Here’s what we know right now: The storm is expected to develop east of the Carolinas today and gradually track north toward New England by Friday evening.

The earliest impacts for eastern Mass. will likely occur late Friday evening as the system’s outer rain bands push over the Cape and the Islands.

The Red Sox are bound for the postseason, but first, there’s a storm to get through this weekend.

Boston has locked up a wild card slot, along with the division rival New York Yankees.

The regular season ends this weekend with three games against the Chicago Cubs, but New England is also bracing for a potential nor’easter.

A New England staple is closing after more than four decades in business.

“Frugal Fannies” in Westwood, Massachusetts, is known for deep discounts, and this news is sad for customers.

The owner said in a statement there are multiple reasons for closing, including medical hardships, retirements and the loss of the loease.

A Virginia woman is facing criminal charges after a monthslong investigation into money stolen from a Foxboro, Massachusetts couple’s bank account.

Earlier this year, NBC10 Boston Responds helped that couple recover nearly $40,000 that was stolen from their bank account through check fraud after Santander Bank initially denied their claim.

Now, Monika M. Jaworska, whose named appeared on the fraudulent charges, is facing an identity fraud charge following an investigation by the Foxboro Police Department. Court records show a clerk-magistrate found probable cause to charge Jaworska in May.

A van caught fire in a crash that left its driver dead in Easton, Massachusetts.

Easton police responded around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 call reporting the crash on the 600 block of Turnpike Street, which runs along Route 138, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said.

Officers arrived to find a work van fully engulfed in flames and a tractor-trailer with damage to its front end, authorities said.

A moose made quite the tour through Gardner, Massachusetts, on Tuesday morning.

The animal popped up in a neighborhood, crossing busy roads and giving at least one driver a very close encounter.

One of the earliest sightings came around 8:15 a.m., when Gardner resident Nancy Nadeau got an unexpected alert from her Blink camera.
