Theatre: Sudbury Secondary School will present Beauty and The Beast Junior, a one-act version of the beloved Disney musical. The school’s students will bring the magical tale of Belle, the Beast and their beloved companions to life. Performances take place Nov. 15-16 and Nov. 22-23 at the Sheridan Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. A public matinee takes place Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students. Dinner theatre: Sudbury Performance Group is excited to bring audiences an evening of laughter, drama and delicious dining with the upcoming dinner theatre production of Till Beth Do Us Part, a comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. The show runs Nov. 20-23, with a special matinee on Nov. 23, all held at Thorneloe University on the Laurentian University campus. Music (buy tickets): In anticipation of Black Friday, Northern Lights Festival Boreal is offering an exclusive promotion on tickets for its 2025 festival. Until Dec. 2, music fans can purchase discounted tickets for this iconic Canadian music festival. Youth (25 and under) tickets cost $69 instead of $100; and adult tickets are $89 instead of $135. Community: The Greater Sudbury Public Library is undertaking community engagement to help shape its first-ever long-term library plan. Arts: The Nouveau Louvre returns to the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario until Jan. 3. The Nouveau Louvre, a holiday art sale, returns for its 29th year. For this occasion, the gallery walls will be plastered with works by your favourite local and regional artists. Shop in person at the GNO, 27 Larch St. (inside Place des Arts) or online at gn-o.org/en. All works are sold for $225. Profits are shared between the artist ($150) and the GNO ($75).
