A Message from Principal Peterson

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Riverside Elementary! Our fifth-grade students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Luray Caverns, where they explored stunning natural wonders and brought their learning to life. PTA Bingo Night was a huge success, filled with laughter, prizes, and an incredible sense of community—thank you to all who participated and supported this fun event. To top it all off, our Thanksgiving Luncheon brought students, staff, and families together to share a delicious meal and celebrate the season of gratitude.

As we reflect on this season of Thanksgiving, I want to express how grateful I am for our Riverside community. The kindness, generosity, and collaboration that define our school are what make it such a special place for our children to learn and grow. Let’s continue to show gratitude for one another through our words, actions, and support as we head into the final weeks of 2024.

We now have 17 school days until winter break, and every one of those days matters. While the excitement of the holiday season is upon us, it’s important for students to be present and engaged in their learning each day. Attendance is vital to your child’s success, and we ask for your partnership in ensuring they arrive at school on time, ready to learn, every day until winter break. Let’s finish 2024 strong together!
