Non-governmental members represent a variety of interests including fishing activities, conservation, research, communities, education, and maritime activities. Government seats include the National Parks Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, California Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and U.S. Coast Guard.
