[announcement] Update: Quarterly Editorial Meeting, January 17, 2025

The Policy, Training, and Cooperative Programs (PTCP) Division has decided to lift the cap on attendance at the Subject Editorial Meeting this coming Friday. It will assess the impact of having no limit on attendance following the meeting and announce PTCP’s future plans. The quarterly meeting is not an information session, but an opportunity to discuss subject proposals. If unlimited attendance results in curbing discussion, PTCP will need to rethink having a cap on attendance.

The Library of Congress presents a new digital edition of the Library of Congress Magazine. The new edition provides a contemporary, interactive and mobile friendly way to experience stories about the Library’s collections. Each issue includes bonus content, such as photo galleries and videos that are not available in the print or PDF editions. 

The January-February issue of the Library of Congress Magazine features the upcoming exhibition, 'The Two Georges,' at the Library of Congress that will explore the parallel lives of George Washington and King George III. Additionally this issue provides information about the newly acquired papers of Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer Burt Bacharach and the personal atlas of King Louis XIV of France.
